I originally purchased Microsoft Train Simulator back in 2002 and then uploaded my first MSTS activity to UKTrainsim towards the end of that year. I created a few additional activities but often found that I was spending a lot more time creating activities rather than playing them so it was always a balance between creating and just playing. When the original version of what is now Train Simulator Classic arrived I purchased it but then playing computer games took a back seat for a few years (I decided I wanted to go off and do some travelling) so not only wasn’t I creating but I wasn’t even playing.
When my travels were over I slowly got back in to playing Train Simulator and then I succumbed to the bug of creating again. I don’t really have the patience to do route building or the skills needed for reskins but the one thing I figured I could do is create scenarios.
My first scenario uploaded to UKTrainsim was back in February 2019 and I’d got to scenario number 136 by the time UKTrainsim supposedly shut down at the end of August 2023.
